Job Opportunity: Horticulturist / Organic Market Gardener
Horticulturist / Organic Market Gardener
Part-time or casual | 3–4 days per week
We're looking for an experienced horticulturist to join our small farm team in summer 2026.
Set on 20 acres just outside Birregurra, Brae is a restaurant, organic farm and guest accommodation where growing and cooking are closely connected. Our farm produces vegetables, orchard fruit, citrus, nuts, berries, olives and grain for use in the restaurant, managed according to organic and biodynamic principles.
This is an opportunity to be part of a productive farm where what you grow has a direct purpose: supplying the Brae kitchen and contributing to the experience of guests who come here to understand and eat from the land.
Working alongside Head Gardener Jodie Lawson and our small garden team, you’ll be involved in the seasonal production and care of the farm throughout the year.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is an experienced horticulturist or market gardener with strong practical experience in vegetable production.
Has a genuine interest in organic and biodynamic growing.
Is physically fit and comfortable undertaking active, sometimes demanding outdoor work.
Has experience operating farm and garden machinery, including tractors and mowers.
Understands that farm work changes with the weather and seasons, and can work flexibly when required.
Enjoys working closely with others and will contribute positively to a small, committed team.
Shares Brae’s values of integrity, excellence, growth, clarity, sustainability and innovation.
